Tuesday Tip: Nails on the GO!

In addition to TOT: Two on Tuesday, I realize that sometimes I just want to share my tips with you.  Secrets, little life hacks, if you will.  I’ll be rotating between 2 things I love and tips!  Maybe I’ll even sneak in a tutorial here and there since I’ve had some requests for hair and makeup!  If there is ever anything you want to know or have me cover, just tell me!  I love to talk and I love to share…that’s what I’m here for!

I’ve shared already that I love a shellac mani.  This was much easier before my little baby boy came along.  Now to leave him in the evening or on the weekend just to get a mani (unless its with a pedi, there is ALWAYS time for a mani/pedi!) then it isn’t always feasible.  Painting my own nails isn’t something I look forward to.  It’s difficult with kiddos and life in general.  Just when you think it’s a good time to sit down and go to town, someone needs a glass of milk or a diaper change!

So, when do I paint my nails?  In the car.  No, no, not when I’m driving, but seriously, before I start driving.  I have painted my nails on the way to work, the mall, to dinner- the very event I want my nails painted for!  I always keep a neutral polish in my purse.  For those times in-between the shellac, I’m saved.  I keep that bottle on me too a few days for easy touch ups when I start to chip.

Next time you have a 20+ minute drive someplace (maybe to or from work), try it.  Disclaimer- huge disclaimer- buckle up first!  Don’t have a blonde moment like me.  Think outside the box like you do with your outfits…Where can I paint my nails?  Do you sit at a desk all day?  Try painting a couple nails at a time.  It may take you all day but they’ll be done by the time you leave!

Let’s face it, we are all so busy and pressed for time, but it doesn’t mean you can’t find the time for the little things that make you smile.  Those little things that keep you, being YOU!  (P.S. you can do your toes too, easier in warmer weather, but throw on your sandals, paint, and drive!)

Have a great week lovelies!

Always, Meg
