Can you believe it’s almost Thanksgiving?  This year has flown by so quickly I can hardly fathom that it is officially the holiday season.  The weather in Michigan has been extremely out of the norm. Even for Michigan, but we are used to whacky weather.  Nothing like this fall’s temps do I ever recall experiencing.  We have had numerous record high days and this Friday will reach 70- almost seems like a repeat to saying goodbye to summer.  This weekend though, it’s all about to change.  One of these days I’ll officially be able to tell you it’s sweater weather.

I am hosting Thanksgiving this year.  Traditionally, we have always gone to my brother’s house but they moved to KY.  My mom was thinking about having it and I said, let me do it!  They do so much for us, they deserve to sit back and relax.  I am really excited to host.  Now, I’m not getting all fancy with tablescapes and everything, but I will make some delicious and awesome food.  I love baking my own pies and the kiddos are excited to help me.  In the past, I  have made a very small scale version of Thanksgiving dinner when it was just my husband and I living up north about 4 hours away.  I have to say I was quite impressed…I think he was too!  Let’s be real though, I can follow a recipe and instructions so how hard can it really be to mess something up?!?  Needless to say, I’ll be setting down this weekend with my old Betty Crocker Bridal Edition (that’s right) gathering my recipes and making my shopping list.  I’ll likely be cooking in my pj’s all morning, and possibly upgrade to some leggings and  button down when it’s time to eat.  However, if I was going out, I would definitely wear this look I’m featuring!

I know it seems fancy, but it’s really quite comfy.  These high waisted, wide leg pants are my favorite and they are currently under $40!!!  They stretch rather than zip so that makes for comfortability.  This rustic blouse is simply amazing.  I have worn it multiple times styled for work with dress pants and a long vest and even with jeans (try a flare leg!).  I added my obi belt and a few accessories to dress it up, and my faux fur coat to top it off.  My coat is still available and after you get it all the way into your cart, it’s under $100!

If being dressy isn’t for you, no worries!  Always wear what fits you best and reflects your style and personality.  Some of us go totally formal, some dressy, some casual, and some completely loungy.   All of my pieces are below and I have linked sold out items with very similar ones.  Enjoy!

I have so much to be thankful for.  A hard working husband that loves us with all his heart.  Three beautiful, smart, and healthy children.  A job that pays fair and offers great benefits.  The ability to work with Sofi Stella and continue to develop my blog.  My family, my friends, the roof over our heads and the food on the table…there isn’t a single thing I can think of that doesn’t make me feel incredibly blessed.  I am very thankful to all of you that continue to support me on this journey.  Thank you for being an inspiration and I hope in turn, that you have been inspired!  XXO
