Another Mothers Day is upon us and I don’t know about you, but I sure love this special day. There is no right or wrong way to celebrate and it’s totally ok to do some things you normally wouldn’t do. So how do you celebrate?
For me, each year is different. I demand to sleep in, that’s top priority. Shut the door and I’ll be up when I’m up! My hubby always makes breakfast and this year I requested that he and my son make their famously delicious crepes! They are a family favorite so it’s a win all around! Sometimes we hang out at the house, run errands, go buy flowers, or visit family. My husband has been gone for work recently so I’m super excited he will make it home this weekend and I truly want us to do nothing but all be together. Relaxing in the morning, maybe some yard work in the afternoon, and dinner before he heads back to work sounds like the perfect day to me. We typically go out for a fancy dinner but we will skip that this year with our current circumstances and that’s a-OK!
Let me tell you a little bit about my babies. They are my life. I don’t know how I became so blessed to be their mama but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. They each have such strong personalities. They are very much alike in some ways and very different in others.  I can pick out each trait and which parent they received it from.  Not to mention the complete awesomeness they each possess all on their own.

My oldest will be 10 next month which means my husband and I will celebrate 10 years of marriage this fall. (Taking the whole family to Hawaii!) My boy is gold. He is the most kind, passionate, funny, and well mannered child I’ve ever seen. He is a worry wart like his mama, so it’s definitely my job to help ease his mind. He is very wise beyond his years and sometimes I think his intelligence surpasses my own.  (Apparently I’m not smarter than a 4th grader!)  He helps me without asking, takes care of sister whom is a hot little mess, and is the best big brother to his baby brother.  He’s not much into sports but he makes me laugh with his comedy and sarcasm.  He loves to read and learn.  Right now he says he wants to be an architect or a scientist!  Dream big little man, nothing can stop you!
My daughter is a ball of fire. She amazes me and terrifies me at the same time. I mean that in a good way, I promise! She needs me for very simple things but is completely independent when it comes to difficult tasks. I’m so proud of the things she continues to accomplish. She has such determination and a very strong will. She is so kind to her friends and often sticks up for them and herself included which makes me very proud. She won’t take any crap from anyone- including me! She is also stubborn…just like me! She is a stunning little girl, hence the trouble. She can’t date until she moves out!  She has a little hipster side to her that I just adore. She just turned 8 last month and has quite the fashion sense herself and is super outgoing.  She never walks, she dances her way into every room. She currently states she will move to LA or the Big Apple to be a dancer…I’d better go with her, you know, until she gets settled!
My baby boy melts my heart. He is such a chatter box and is incredibly smart at 2 1/2. He knows his ABC’s, sings tons of nursery rhymes, knows his colors and shapes.  He has the best toddler one liners and is such a sweet boy. He constantly tells me he loves me all day long. He demands hugs and kisses. He also “needs my hair” to rub while he falls asleep at night. He still drinks milk out of a bottle- don’t care. And he sleeps with me half the time- also don’t care, someone needs to keep daddy’s side warm!  I’m fairly certain he is our last and I strive to take in every single moment with him.  He is such a light in our family and has definitely changed us all.  We are starting to potty train soon, so wish us luck!

We enjoyed snapping some fun pics last Sunday while sporting our new shoes from Skechers!  This is my second collaboration with Skechers and my kids love the fun prints and most of all the Memory Foam. They really enjoyed being able to choose their own pair this time and we are super thankful to partner with Skechers!
