OTS, a bow, and blush!

What can I say, I’ve become a total sucker for the OTS trend.  Finding styles that are fun and unique have been my goal.  I normally wouldn’t gravitate toward a wider set cut but I couldn’t resist the adorable bow in the back.  I have a similar one linked because it was obviously a hit I can’t locate it on the website.  It’s Banana, if you can pop into a local store near you!

These pants are everything. I’ve been working on my fitness which has been up and down lately and I vowed I wouldn’t purchase anything new until I was feeling more comfortable in my skin. Truth be told, I couldn’t pass these up!  I drive around all day from customer to customer so comfort and wrinkle proof are musts for me.

Floral + Lace Romper

What’s not to love about floral and lace…especially if it’s a romper! The easiest piece to style in your closet. Dress a romper up or down and you’re set for whatever adventure awaits.  Jewels and accessories will take you to the level you need to be at in your look, trust me.

I love the lace front on this beauty. I can go with or without a bra. A sticky bra works great because it’s backless which this romper has a nice cut out of the back. If you need more coverage, a cute bralette would do the trick. If you’re feeling more bold, go without!  I wore stickies for an evening out in NOLA and felt comfortable dancing and hanging out.  We are all different so use what works best for you.  The sheer sleeves makes this a great option into summer because it lets in the breeze, perfect for an evening on the town!

Mother’s Day with Skechers!

Another Mothers Day is upon us and I don’t know about you, but I sure love this special day. There is no right or wrong way to celebrate and it’s totally ok to do some things you normally wouldn’t do. So how do you celebrate?
For me, each year is different. I demand to sleep in, that’s top priority. Shut the door and I’ll be up when I’m up! My hubby always makes breakfast and this year I requested that he and my son make their famously delicious crepes! They are a family favorite so it’s a win all around! Sometimes we hang out at the house, run errands, go buy flowers, or visit family. My husband has been gone for work recently so I’m super excited he will make it home this weekend and I truly want us to do nothing but all be together. Relaxing in the morning, maybe some yard work in the afternoon, and dinner before he heads back to work sounds like the perfect day to me. We typically go out for a fancy dinner but we will skip that this year with our current circumstances and that’s a-OK!
Let me tell you a little bit about my babies. They are my life. I don’t know how I became so blessed to be their mama but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. They each have such strong personalities. They are very much alike in some ways and very different in others.  I can pick out each trait and which parent they received it from.  Not to mention the complete awesomeness they each possess all on their own.

Blushing over floral + white

March 2017-110

Raise your hand if you’re totally down with florals this season!  This girl is!  I still love my basics hardcore but I am trying to brighten up my wardrobe a bit. Sometimes stepping out of our comfort zone and getting away from the norm is just what we need to feel fresh.  A little change is good for the soul.

This top from Loft, linked below, was very eye catching to me. It’s perfect for work or a casual night out.  For me that’s a plus because I need to have clothes for work and home and be able to transition between the two.  Being able to get 40% off sweetened the deal even more for me making it a win!  I absolutely love the print and the color.  The green mixed in with the blush is absolutely stunning.  It pairs well with jeans, dress pants, a skirt, or white denim as I have shown here. You really can dress up (or down) a great blouse to be as dressy as you like.  Choosing the right bottom half, accessories, and shoes will get you where you need to be.

A Floral Dress

March 2017-134

The weather lately has been crazy, and that’s putting it lightly!  I’m craving warmer days and am so ready to ditch some of these unwanted layers.  Thank goodness we are heading to Florida Easter weekend for spring break.  I don’t get super fancy for Easter, so this dress might be just perfect for me!

I love anything floral and my floral obsession right now is strong.  My closet could use a good makeover and that’s my focus right now for my spring wardrobe.  I always try to save my splurges for classic pieces and look for deals and sales on trendier items.  I think it’s a good mix to have both and be able to mix and match.

Hot Pink NOLA Weekend!

It’s been over a month since my last post and life has just been super busy!  We went to Jamaica for my best friend’s wedding in February and it was every bit of amazing!  My daughter had her first dance convention/competition of the season and she won herself a scholarship!  I recently visited NOLA with a great group of ladies that I just adore. We had the most fabulous weekend full of love, laughter, and of course FOOD:)  I would say the last month has been extremely busy and somewhat overwhelming but all is good and we are moving right along.  In less than a month, my family will be heading to Anna Maria Island, FL for spring break with some of our dearest friends.  It cannot come soon enough.

Let me tell you just a bit about NOLA:)  I came in on a Thursday evening and most of the group had arrived so we headed out to dinner.  Later that night we hit what I would call a very “interesting” club having 80’s night.  Naturally we danced our butts off then headed down to Bourbon Street.  All I can say is WOW.  Bourbon Street was exciting, yet slightly terrifying!  I kid, sort of.  In all seriousness though, we had a great time.

Athleta Style

We are halfway through January already, if you can believe that!  I have less than 27 days until our Jamaican vacation and I cannot wait!  Bring on the sunshine, ocean, food, and memories!

I wanted to post a quick note about this fun look from Athleta.  Now through 1/16, you can save an extra 20% on sale items and this Cashmere Reversible Sweater is on mega sale.  I don’t always splurge like this on athletic clothing but some things are just worth it.  Plus, technically my husband was the one that splurged as this outfit was waiting for me under the tree! (He’s sooo good!)

These leggings are super comfortable and totally cute.  I love the criss cross on the calf.  This cashmere sweater is the softest thing I own!  I could just live in it 24/7.  With the extra 20% off on top of the sale, now is a great time to purchase it.  You won’t be sorry!

Zobha Fitness Clothing and offer code

I am thrilled to have teamed up with Zobha and showcase some great workout clothes. The timing is perfect with the start of the new year and resolutions underway.  I always treat myself to some new apparel to get me excited to workout and help a bit with the motivation.  There’s just something about looking cute while working out, even if it’s in my basement!

Almost two weeks into the new year and I am proud to share that I am down 2 pounds!  Eating right and getting in solid, effective exercise has me moving at a good pace.  While it’s been a little hectic getting back in to the swing of it all, I’m feeling super motivated to make good choices and stay the course.  Jamaica is just 4 weeks away so I am on the hunt for some cute and flattering suits, so wish me luck!

I have linked the Zobha items below and included a special offer code from me to you, to get you 30% off your purchase!  Go on, treat yourself, and GET MOVING!

Party Attire and NYE

Can you believe 2016 is coming to an end?  Or is it just the beginning to a new and exciting year?  We have so many exciting things ahead for my family in 2017.  A trip to Jamaica for my best friend’s wedding, Spring Break with some great friends, our 10 yr Anniversary, and saving up to buy some property and move forward with intentions to build our dream home!  We have continued to be blessed with good health, steady careers, and so much love to go around.  I’m really looking forward to 2017 and the great road ahead.

Onto this easy look.  I ordered this top from Lulu’s a little back and unfortunately I cannot locate it on their site at this time.  If you want to get fancy with your searching skills, the brand is DO+BE.  I have linked some similar options below for you.  Adding staple pieces to your closet is a must.  I purchased this tiered, sequin skirt about 5 years ago and it’s just as fabulous today as it was back then.  I love how easily this outfit came together.   A little thinking outside the box will allow you to put different items together that are already in your closet rather than purchasing new.
